Using qualitative research to uncover powerful new learning and breakthrough insights is like peeling an onion. Often the most effective way to uncover how people think and behave is not to ask them directly, but to help them explore their thoughts and emotions using creative tools and projective techniques.

Catapult founder Carolyn Marconi brings a strong passion for qualitative research, deep experience as both a client and a moderator, and an insatiable curiosity about what makes people think, feel and behave the way they do.

Carolyn has interviewed consumers and professionals across a wide range of industries including consumer packaged goods, healthcare/ pharmaceuticals, casual dining restaurants, financial services and B2B. Carolyn launched Catapult in 2005 after a successful 20+ year career in senior client- side roles at Campbell Soup, Carnation Foods (now Nestle) and The Vanguard Group.

Carolyn has an MBA from the University of Rhode Island and a BA in Journalism from Temple University.

Cathy has over 20 years of qualitative project management experience, both domestically and internationally. Catapult clients have described Cathy as “highly professional,” “responsive” and “a delight to work with.” Cathy originally hails from Pittsburgh and is a graduate of Robert Morris University.
